The Sound of the Mississippi Comes to Life

We want to introduce you to someone really special—Ryan Carey.

Ryan is a former pro athlete, veteran, and advocate—but above all, a Canadian songwriter and storyteller whose music comes straight from the heart. He’s lived a life full of grit, loss, leadership, and love—and somehow, he turns all of that into songs that stay with you.

His new album, The Mississippi River, is a work of raw lyrical honesty. It touches on healing, a deep connection to the land, and the quiet strength that so many carry but rarely talk about. With folk-country roots and powerful storytelling, Ryan gives voice to the silent strength found in forgotten places, the invisible wounds of service, and the unshakable hope carried by faith and melody.

Album Highlights Include

“Raging Pulse,” “Tired. Bored. War Torn,” “Thunder,” and “Wandering Wayne” — each track a reflection of lived experience and deep connection to place.
